Plastic marking has become a fundamental service, which D.H. Lamina can supply in various methods. But why marking a component is so important? Whatever market sector your company represents, an additional value could be adding on the component your trade name, your drawing number or the supplier code of identification.
If you are a food processing equipment or packaging machines producer you also know that production lot size or date are important information that can be marked on every single component.
All our customers can choose through three different methods of marking, depending on available budget, necessities and also depending on which kind of material must be marked. Our solutions can be divided as follows:
Laser marking. Our laser marking creates a kind of engraving on most of the material we machine (for example on POM or PA). Visual results are different on materials such as PVC-U or PEEK, where the marking results in different color compared to the material one. Marking dimensions and font are almost endless. We can mark parts with a good range of dimensions, with a maximum length and width 1500 x 1500 mm. Thickness must be evaluated depending on the shape of the part.
Engraving. Our marking done with engraving is the result of a milling machine. Marking dimensions start form 10 mm high and font are quite limited. It is anyway convenient if done during machining. Maximum dimensions are the same indicated in the page ‘’Plastic Milling’’. They must be anyway evaluated according to the geometry of the part.
Inkjet. With this method we can print in black color only on certain materials and when food certifications are not required. Font and dimensions are also in this case limited, although that barcode can be printed. Marking with inkjet is done for free. Dimensions must be evaluated depending on the geometry of the part.
