When we talk about plastic turning, D.H Lamina counts several decades of experience. But what is a turned part? A turned part is the result of turning, which is a machining process in which cutting tool describes a helix toolpath by moving linearly while the workpiece rotates.
Our workshop heritage which distinguishes us since 1982, is what leads us to turn only engineering plastic materials. D.H. Lamina boasts a complete machinery fleet when it comes about plastic turning. Whether in emergency situations and standard supplies you can count on 9 CNC motorized lathes:
With dual-spindle. Dual-spindle technology allows us to make reverse side machining; this operation cut down time and costs giving evident benefits when it comes about part price.
Y axis. 4-axis machining means that we are able to mill the part directly during the turning, on the same machine. In this case too we can avoid to transfer the part to a CNC milling center after the turning; concrete results are low time and costs and so better part price.
Swiss-Type lathes. A Swiss-Type lathe is a variety of turning machine that feeds the stock through a guide bushing. This kind of turning is ideal for big quantities (> 1000 pcs). Short machining times and lower costs reflect on part price too. Available up to Ø40.
We can supply a wide range of dimensions:
From Ø8 mm. This is the minimum turning diameter we can machine inside our plant; parts under Ø8 mm can be anyway evaluated in outsourcing.
To Ø720/800 mm. Depending on the shape of the part our lathes can arrive to these dimensions.
Up to Ø1500 mm. For more demanding customers we can supply big parts thanks to our partnerships all over the European union
